‘Snow Much Fun’ is in Store at Navy Pier-Concierge Preferred

page_SMF2013Yes, we’re going to say it. It’s almost time for ice skating season in Chicago!

From taking a lap around the rink under the “Bean” in Millennium Park to the first-ever skating experience opening at the Lincoln Park Zoo – why not prime the tykes for the winter fun that’s in store at the Chicago Children’s Museum at Navy Pier’s new exhibit Snow Much Fun.

A much-loved holiday tradition, this exhibit has been re-imagined as a snowy cityscape that’s the perfect setting for fun—without the cold! Let your little ones lose their shoes as they perform a pirouette or simply swirl, slide and spin on the urban rink designed for sock-footed skaters of all ages.

Engage in a friendly snowball fight, lobbing your fluffy ammunition from behind a towering fortress of specially-made “ice” blocks. Create a snow family or other snowy sculpture, or devise your own winter games using a variety of props and loose parts. For the littlest members of the family, let them explore crinkly surfaces, rattle shakers, cruise along fort-building platforms, and sled down a gentle sloping drift.

The exhibit runs through Jan. 5, 2014. Additional information and tickets are available online.
